MANUS ISLAND DETENTION CENTRE IS NOTHING TO DO WITH US
We wish to correct the statement read out by Ellen Fanning on the ABC Drum program on 18th February 2019 insinuating that Dave Hodgson and Paladin Corporation are involved in the Manus Island Detention Centre. We have nothing to do with the operation of detention centres anywhere in the world and we have nothing to do with the Manus Island Detention Centre. We operate primarily in IT and Health and Fitness sectors and it is obvious Ms Fanning has made a significant mistake. Ms Fanning stated that she Googled "Dave" and could not remember his surname. She then went on to read out Dave's bio. Dave Hodgson and Paladin Corporation have no association with the Paladin company that was awarded the contract for Manus Island.
We have contacted the ABC Drum program and they have issued the following correction and apology and they will issue a further correction on the ABC Drum program tonight, 19th Feb 2019. We have also contacted the journalists at the Australian Financial Review who broke the story and advised them we are not involved, and we have contacted the Minister for Home Affairs Peter Dutton and advised his department so there can be no further confusion.

The Drum: On 18 February, during a discussion of the awarding of a contract to provide security services on Manus Island by a company called the Paladin Group, we read biographical details of a man called David, who we referred to as the managing director of Paladin Group. He is in fact the CEO of a different Paladin Group of companies, which services the health and fitness and IT sectors and is based in Queensland. It is unrelated to the Paladin Group which was the subject of our discussion. The ABC apologises for the error.
